Diabetes insipdus (DI) is a disorder characterized by intense thirst and excretion of large amounts of urine. Diabetes insipdus occurs when your system is disrupted and your body can’t regulate how it handles fluids.
Type 1 is a chronic condition in which the pancreas produces little or no insulin, a hormone needed to convert sugar into energy. Type 1 is usually found in children.
Type 2 in which the body becomes resistant to the effects of insulin or the body produces some, but not enough to maintain a normal blood sugar level.
Gestational diabetes that develops during pregnancy.
Like other forms of diabetes affect the way your body uses sugar, your body’s main source of fuel. You can manage gestational diabetes by eating healthy foods, exercising regularly and if necessary medication. Gestational diabetes is short lived. Typically soon after delivery blood sugar levels return to normal.
