Arthritis

Arthritis , which means joint inflammation, causes pain, stiffness, and swelling in joints, such as fingers, neck, back, hips, and knees. Osteoarthritis, the most common form of arthritis is swelling of the joints caused by the wearing down of joint tissue and cartilage. Osteoarthritis affects the weight bearing joints of the arms and legs, such as the knees, hips, shoulders, elbows, ankles, and thumbs, and often can be improved by joint replacement surgery.

Rheumatoid arthritis is a long –term disorder that can involve the major organs of the body. It causes painful swelling of the legs, arms, and spine. The disease may get worse over time and lead to joint damage that cannot be repaired. There are other forms of Arthritis.

Diabetes

Diabetes insipdus (DI) is a disorder characterized by intense thirst and excretion of large amounts of urine. Diabetes insipdus occurs when your system is disrupted and your body can’t regulate how it handles fluids.

Type 1 is a chronic condition in which the pancreas produces little or no insulin, a hormone needed to convert sugar into energy. Type 1 is usually found in children.

Type 2 in which the body becomes resistant to the effects of insulin or the body produces some, but not enough to maintain a normal blood sugar level.

Gestational diabetes that develops during pregnancy.
Like other forms of diabetes affect the way your body uses sugar, your body’s main source of fuel. You can manage gestational diabetes by eating healthy foods, exercising regularly and if necessary medication. Gestational diabetes is short lived. Typically soon after delivery blood sugar levels return to normal.

Fibromyalgia

Signs and Symptoms

Wide spread of pain, which generally persists for months at a time. It is a real disease.

Fatigue and sleep disturbance, waking up tired even though you think you got plenty of sleep.
Nighttime muscle spasms in your in your legs and (RLS) restless leg syndrome may also be associated with Fibromyalgia.

Heightened sensitivity is common for people with Fibromyalgia such as noises, lights, touch and odors.

(IBS) irritable bowel syndrome may be constipation, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and bloating.

Other symptoms or signs may include depression, numbness or tingling in hands and feet, pain in muscles, difficulty concentrating, mood changes, chest pain, dry eyes, skin and mouth, painful menstrual periods, dizziness, anxiety.

The constant pain from Fibromyalgia has recently been recognized in the medical field. Those who have Fibromyalgia sometimes don’t realize that they even have the condition. People who have Fibromyalgia are also suffering from chronic fatigue, and loss of mental focus. The intense pain will also cause a depression.

Alzheimer''s disease

People with Alzheimer’s disease have dementia which occurs when healthy, brain tissue degenerates, causing a steady decline in memory and mental abilities.
Late evening tends to lead to confusion.
Most people with Alzheimer’s are unable to cope with unexpected events or a change in their regular schedule. Changing their surroundings can send them into a very unstable since of security.

Also a predominate change in mood and personality, disorientation to place, time, date or event. They also have a loss of judgment or decision making ability.
